Abstract: | The main purpose of the Library Advocacy for Open Access Toolkit is to provide materials that can be used by Library staff to strengthen advocacy efforts in support of Open Access that can result in more institutions signing the Berlin declaration; enhanced information services and improved staff skills and capacities. The Toolkit pulls together ways in which National Associations and IFLA Sections can support the IFLA statement on OA; a brief on the results of a survey conducted on the state of OA in some regions (made up of developing and transitional countries) of the world in 2013; case studies on OA around the world; some frequently asked questions (FAQs) on OA as well as information resources on OA. |
