    A Seção de Leitura da IFLA tem o prazer de apresentar algumas sugestões práticas para as bibliotecas que gostariam de ajudar nossa sociedade a se tornar mais preparada. Acreditamos que elas estão situadas em uma posição ímpar para fomentar a capacidade de ler e escrever e que podem desenvolver seus próprios programas, fornecer pessoal ou também apoiar projetos de alfabetização patrocinados por outras organizações. Os propósitos destas diretrizes práticas são: 1.) Estimular as bibliotecas a se envolverem mais em programas de alfabetização, principalmente os de alfabetização funcional; 2.) Servir como uma lista de verificação informal para avaliar programas de bibliotecas que já estejam trabalhando nesta atividade.

    Die IFLA-Sektion „Lesen“ möchte einige praktische Vorschläge für das Personal in Bibliotheken präsentieren, das damit befaßt ist, die Lese- und Schreibfähigkeit in unserer Gesellschaft zu fördern. Wir sind der Auffassung, daß Bibliotheken zur Förderung der Lese-und Schreibfähigkeit besonders geeignet sind. Sie können ihre eigenen Projekte entwickelnund solche anderer Organisationen unterstützen.Die Ziele dieses Leitfadens sind: 1.) Bibliotheken dazu zu ermutigen, sich in Lese- und Schreibförderungsprojekten zu engagieren; 2.) Eine informelle Liste von Kriterien zur Evaluierung von bereits laufenden Bibliotheksprojekten bereitzustellen.

    Intergenerational solidarity in libraries / La solidarité intergénérationnelle dans les bibliothèques

    Rapid and intensive changes in the information landscape cause changes in social relationships and, consequently, in relations between generations. Within their social role libraries should work actively to reduce age segregation and isolation, and build cohesive society through intergenerational services and programmes. The authors speak about the intergenerational dialogue in libraries - theories, research and practice - and about reading as a link between generations, thus offering to libraries strategies for establishing social cohesion.

    Programas de alfabetización en bibliotecas: sugerencias prácticas

    La Sección de Lectura de IFLA se complace en presentar algunas sugerencias prácticas para el personal de la biblioteca que quisiera contribuir a que nuestra sociedad pueda acceder a una mejor preparación. Consideramos que la mayoría de las bibliotecas se encuentran en una posición única para promover la cultura. Pueden elaborar sus propios programas y asignarles personal, o pueden apoyar los proyectos de alfabetización auspiciados por otras organizaciones. Los objetivos de estos indicadores prácticos son: 1.) Alentar a las bibliotecas a participar más en los programas de alfabetización; 2.) Servir como una lista de verificación informal para evaluar los programas en las bibliotecas donde ya se han instrumentado.

    La section lecture de l’IFLA a le plaisir de présenter quelques suggestions pratiques pour les équipesdes bibliothèques qui voudraient aider notre société à devenir plus instruite. Nous pensons que les bibliothèques sont les mieux placées pour lutter contre l’illettrisme. Les bibliothèques peuvent développer et mettre en œuvre leurs programmes ou bienelles peuvent accompagner des projets organisés par d’autres structures. Ces conseils pratiques ont pour buts: 1.) d’encourager les bibliothèques à s’impliquer dans les programmes de lutte contrel’illettrisme, 2.) de fournir une liste de référents pour l’évaluation des programmes de base des bibliothèques.

    The World Through Picture Books (2013)

    Children’s Librarians all over the world understand how important picture books in both traditional and digital formats are for children: for their development, their cultural identity, as a springboard into learning to read for themselves; for their visual skills, and because of the closeness of sharing them with an adult. It is then very important to promote picture books and to ensure access to them. The idea behind the World Through Picture Books is to create a list of picture books from around the world that have been recommended by librarians, as a tool for building bridges and developing understanding between countries. The project is led by IFLA Children’s and Young Adults section with support from partners IFLA Literacy and Reading section and IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People).

    Секция чтения ИФЛА представляет практические рекомендации для тех библиотечных работников, которые хотят содействовать повышению уровня грамотности в современном обществе. Мы уверены, что библиотеки располагают для этого уникальными возможностями. Они в состоянии разрабатывать собственные программы грамотности и обеспечивать их кадрами, они могут поддерживать и те проекты, которые осуществляются другими учреждениями. Цели этих практических рекомендаций следующие: 1.) Стимулировать участие библиотек в программах грамотности. 2.) Способствовать неформальной оценке уже действующих библиотечных программ.
