Item Connecting and Empowering Library Publishers: An International Knowledge Exchange(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2020-03) Buggle, Jane; O'Neill, Marie; IFLA Library Publishing Special Interest GroupThe 2020 mid-term meeting was held at Oslo Metropolitan University in Norway in March 2020, chaired by Lars Egeland. This event explored in greater depth themes discussed in Dublin whilst also introducing newer topics. Library publishing (including new-model university presses housed in libraries) is a growing activity in many countries around the world. The IFLA SIG aims to bring together experienced practitioners and would-be publishers to build communities of practice, to share information, and advance this exciting field of endeavor. New and emerging library publishers will gain insight into the experiences and practices of established presses, and all attendees will learn from new and innovative approaches. All the presentations and the ensuing discussions will advance the excellence and sustainability of library publishing ventures. The aim of the event was to bring together a broad spectrum of publishing programs, to exchange knowledge, present good practice, and to foster networks and mentoring relationships among library publishers at all stages, also highlighting the important role that the Library Publishing Coalition and the IFLA SIG play in this regard. The SIG meeting also invited participation by library schools and others engaged in efforts to educate the next generation of library publishers.Item Minutes of meeting: IFLA Library Publishing Special Interest Group, 30 April 2025(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2025-05) IFLA Library Publishing Special Interest GroupThe LIBPUB Committee meeting held on 30 April 2025 covered updates on committee membership, progress on transitioning from SIG to Section status, preparations for WLIC 2025, the announcement of the LPC/IFLA LIBPUB International Scholarship, planning for upcoming events such as the Open Textbooks initiative, developments in the blog series, and a tribute to the late Nodumo Dhlamini for her contributions to open science in Africa.Item Minutes of meeting: Library Publishing Special Interest Group, 25 September 2024(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2024-10-14) IFLA Library Publishing Special Interest GroupItem Minutes of Meeting: Library Publishing Special Interest Group, 26 February 2025(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2025-03-11) IFLA Library Publishing Special Interest Group
