The aim of the event was to bring together a broad spectrum of publishing programs, to exchange knowledge, and to foster networks and mentoring relationships among library publishers at all stages, also highlighting the important role that the Library Publishing Coalition plays in this regard. Speakers included an international array of publishers, library publishers, publishing experts, presenting honest practical guides for advancement in this field. Key topics discussed included progress on the transition from SIG to Section, updates on the ongoing IFLA elections, and approval of the WLIC 2025 Open Session titled “Sustainable Pathways to Open Science and Open Scholarship.” The group also planned collaborative webinars with LPC, reviewed a draft for the international scholarship, and discussed updates to the Library Publishing Map. Further discussions included launching a blog series to increase engagement and visibility, and updates on the new Norwegian Library Publishing Network and potential contributions.
