    ADA Library services for research community and guest users as a part of SDG initiative

    To support the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in Azerbaijan, ADA University Library is rendering library and information services to both internal and external users with its rich print and electronic resources mainly in English language, and providing comfortable academic environment with cutting-edge technology. As an academic library, it grants the research community of the country an access to educational and scientific resources free of charge, and supports lifelong and professional development learning to align its activities and programs with the SDGs, such as “Quality Education” (SDG 4), “Decent Work and Economic Growth” (SDG 8), “Reduced Inequalities” (SDG 10), “Sustainable Cities and Communities” (SDG 11), and with related targets and indicators of all 17 goals, and incorporates its services to achieve the best results for the 2030 Agenda in order to leave no one behind. The poster describes all types of ADA Library services, both on-site and off-site resources, as well as user types and categories with graphical, photographical, textual explanations to let the audience have imagination about the carried out activities.     Services design process at the ADA University Library

    Services design process, as well as, design thinking principles and methods are the most discussed trends in modern librarianship. It is important to take into consideration specifications and requirements of each library type when setting strategies for services design, mapping, planning and implementing it in a broad scale. ADA University Library renders library and information services to internal and external customers with its rich print and electronic resources, and as well as comfortable academic environment and cutting-edge technologies. The poster presentation describes with graphical, photographical, textual explanations the steps of launching efficient and user-centered library instructional service, preparation of which encompassed identifying community, identifying their needs, expectations, feelings; analyzing user experiences and based on the results, finding ways to integrate improvements into the library services; identifying the necessary resources, key processes and indicators to evaluate the objectives and partners with whom the Library collaborates.
