    Public libraries – resource centers for actioning the SDGs through public-private partnerships

    ANBPR Romania, as the main vector for the emancipation of libraries in the public system in Romania, advocates for the implementation of the global sustainable development plan and for achieving the objectives of the 2030 Agenda, especially Objective 3 - GOOD HEALTH AND WELLBEING, Objective 11 - SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES and Objective 17: PARTNERSHIPS FOR ACHIEVING THE SDGs. ANBPR was and continues to be involved in a series of advocacy actions and initiatives regarding the awareness of the SDGs and their connection with partnerships, volunteering and sustainable communities, such as LIVING LIFE, SHIFT - MetamorphoSis of cultural Heritage Into augmented hypermedia assets For enhanced accessibiliTy and inclusion, GREEN - ECOLibrary of ideas for a responsible approach to environmental issues. As an expression of the ANBPR's efforts to mobilize libraries for a noble goal, the poster will illustrate representative details during the ANBPR projects implementation with the participation of its partner libraries. Metaphorically, the poster creative idea will emphase the positive impact of public libraries as resource centers, with a special focus on their role regarding the grassroots actioning the SDGs through active awareness and encourage public-private partnerships.
