Against the background of IFLA's involvement in the 2030 Agenda, this paper asks about the visible commitment of libraries and library associations as ambassadors for the dissemination of the SDGs. On the other hand, it also examines to what extent this commitment – if any – is reflected in national sustainability strategies and in strategies for education for sustainable development. The result makes clear that there is still room for development on the part of the library associations, but the libraries themselves must clearly communicate their commitment so that the public and political stakeholders are aware of it.en_US
