The Dutch BookStart program is divided in three main parts: 1.) BookStart for babies is focused on parents of young children (0-4 years), it is carried out from every of the 1437 Dutch library organizations in The Netherlands. 2.) BookStart in childcare centers). Librarians are active in over 3.000 child care centers to support the employees with the reading activities and a proper collection of (digital) picture books 3.) The BookStart coach is a librarian (reading consultant) that is active in child healthcare centers to help especially language poor families with reading activities.
