Inspired by the Earth Hour concept, this programme is a symbolic honour to the World Book and Copyright Day, involving participants in the whole country reading simultaneously within the allotted ten minutes time. 2.5 million people from all walks of life took part in the event during its first initiation in 2014, followed by 2.542 million in 2015. Selangor alone contributed approximately a quarter of the figures for both years.
