NOTE: the IFLA Regional Section for Africa was established during the 1970s as part of the Division of Regional Activities and closed in 2021, after which the IFLA Sub-Saharan African Regional Division (SSARD) was launched. NOTE: from 1984 to 2007, the Regional Office for Africa was located in the Central Library of the Cheikh Anta Diop University, Dakar, Sénégal.
