Una nueva declaración de la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones e Instituciones Bibliotecarias destaca las diversas amenazas paralelas que se ciernen sobre los esfuerzos de las bibliotecas por garantizar que todas las personas puedan acceder al conocimiento y beneficiarse de él. La declaración se aprobó el 9 de julio de 2025.

Le donazioni rappresentano una componente importante nelle attività di costituzione delle collezioni delle biblioteche. Le presenti Linee guida si concentrano esclusivamente sulle donazioni alle biblioteche, siano esse proposte o sollecitate. Infatti, è consigliabile che gli istituti culturali sviluppino processi chiari per la gestione e la valutazione delle donazioni, in accordo con le proprie politiche in materia. Ciò renderà più lineari le procedure di acquisizione sia per il personale sia per i donatori, ridurrà i fattori di rischio e l’esposizione a potenziali responsabilità, garantirà infine che le opportunità associate ai documenti accettati nelle collezioni delle biblioteche possano essere pienamente sfruttate in futuro.

Manifesto Perpustakaan Sekolah IFLA-UNESCO 2025 adalah edisi terbaru dari Manifesto Perpustakaan Sekolah IFLA/UNESCO sebelumnya: Perpustakaan sekolah dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran untuk semua (1999). Edisi terbaru ini merefleksikan banyak perubahan dalam bidang teknologi, kemasyarakatan dan pendidikan, dan merepresentasikan sebuah instrumen penting dan berguna bagi advokasi perpustakaan sekolah untuk pendidikan berkualitas dan inklusif. Naskah tersebut adalah kolaborasi dari komunitas di dalam IFLA, IASL, dan perpustakaan sekolah global. Dirilis bersama dalam bahasa Inggris oleh IFLA School Libraries Section Standing Committee dan IASL - International Association of School Librarianship pada 12 September 2021, dan disetujui oleh IFLA Governing Board pada 17 April 2023. Naskah tersebut kemudian disepakati dalam 13th Session of the Intergovernmental Council of UNESCO's Information for All Programme (IFAP) pada April 2025.

Das IFLA Schulbibliotheksmanifest 2025 ist eine aktualisierte Version des früheren IFLA/UNESCO Richtlinien für Schulbibliotheken: Die Schulbibliothek im Lehr- und Lernprozess für Alle (1999). Die neue Ausgabe spiegelt die zahlreichen Änderungen in den Bereichen Technologie, Gesellschaft und Bildung wider und stellt ein wichtiges und nützliches Dokument dar, mit dem sich Schulbibliotheken für hochwertige und inklusive Bildung einsetzen können. Der Text ist das Ergebnis einer gemeinsamen Arbeit von IFLA, IASL und der globalen Schulbibliotheksgemeinschaft. Er wurde am 12. September 2021 gemeinsam vom ständigen Ausschuss der IFLA-Kommission Schulbibliotheken und der IASL – International Association of School Librarianship in englischer Sprache veröffentlicht und am 17. April 2023 vom IFLA-Vorstand genehmigt. Es wurde außerdem in der 13. Sitzung des Intergovernmental Council der UNESCO im Rahmen des Information for All Programme (IFAP) im April 2025 genehmigt.
