Abstract: | IFLA works closely with the World Intellectual Property Organisaiton (WIPO) - the UN agency in charge of making rules and recommendations internationally on copyright - in order to promote a balanced copyright regime. But there's more to it than just going to meetings. WIPO produces valuable research, and often carries out meetings and training courses in different countries. IFLA's own engagement with WIPO benefits from work at the national level to ensure that national delegates understand what libraries need. This guide gives an overview of what WIPO is and does, and how you can get involved. |
