    Attention! Disinformation! Fake news! Propaganda!
(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2023-10-08) Aleksieienko, Kateryna
Disinformation is everywhere, on the streets, in social media, in films, even in books. Today is our reality. It can scare us, but we must be ready to fight with it. Disinformation includes fake news, deep fake, hate speech and many kinds. All time, we see that it adapts and starts to influence our decisions, especially when our society got a new crisis – an epidemic, political conflict or war, especially – a war. Libraries – a platform to filter information and make marks of fakes, propaganda, and discrimination. It is very delicate but essential to protect our customers and give them a choice of original resources and pieces of evidence. Don't be shy to check information, have doubts and questions, and verification everything you give for our customers.
