    3L App - Book, Reading, Literacy was developed under the Simplex initiative, a Government program aimed at enhancing the daily lives of citizens and businesses through ICT. The project is managed by the General Directorate for Books, Archives, and Libraries (DGLAB) under the Ministry of Culture. This user-friendly APP offers an array of valuable features to facilitate engagement with the book and reading sector through georeferencing. By using georeferencing technology, users can seamlessly connect with relevant entities, promoting effective communication between them. Furthermore, the application utilizes geofencing to send timely alerts, keeping users informed about the latest news and events directly on their mobile phones. Within the app, you'll find a wealth of information, including details on locations, contacts, upcoming events, highlights, and a collection of photographs showcasing various aspects of the book and reading world.

    The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) continue to be a major focus of IFLA’s advocacy work. We use SDG stories to demonstrate how libraries contribute to the SDGs and serve as partners in meeting local development needs. Stories are essential to raise awareness, change attitudes and mobilise. The IFLA Library Map of the World – a unifying platform providing access to SDG stories from different countries – is looking for more stories about impactful activities, projects and programmes, implemented by libraries or in partnership with libraries, addressing community needs. This flowchart will help you to better understand if your story is suitable for the Library Map of the World, to check if you have all elements you need and if you are ready to submit it!
