    Children Read (Criança Lê)
(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2023-11-10) Frezzato, Cesar; Ruprecht, Pierre André
The project Children's Literature and the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda of the UN is an action of BibliON, the free digital library of São Paulo, of the São Paulo Library and the State System of Public Libraries of São Paulo, Brazil. Developed in 2022, the program consists of 17 virtual reading mediation activities with a group of children from 6 to 12 years old. Each meeting highlighted one SDG, which was addressed through the books indicated in the Capítulo Brasil catalog of the National Children's and Youth Book Foundation, a publication resulting from the SDG Book Club project, an action of the 2030 Agenda. Based on the recommended books, the mediator/narrator of stories and the public shared questions and impressions about the current world and built together testimonials, small narrations and reflections that gave rise to the series Criança Lê (Children Read), launched in 2023 and composed of 17 video episodes – intended for librarians, educators and reading mediators, and also for 17 audio episodes, made available in a podcast especially for children. Results (until June, 2023): 12 episodes shared, with 1.233 views of the videos and 490 listeners of the podcasts.
