Kedah Public Library bring the captivating and high-tech world of augmented reality into library facilities with amazing new exhibit. Users can experience these technologies on their own smartphones, or library provide iPads as an excellent and versatile choice. One of the important roles of library is helping our communities navigate technological disruption. In the case of AR, there are some straight forward ways to do so! Technology enhanced library learning environment. There is already exist a few AR applications dedicated to the use in Kedah Public Library and outreach : • 3D AR Wall@live App, an AR learning experience learning about the world and bring images to life in 3D. • 3D AR Mat@live App, an AR learning experience making your colouring pages appear in 3D. • 3D AR Book@live App, an AR learning experience screening, selfie in 3D • EduappGO is a GPS- based AR game that makes you an explorer. Augmented reality bridges the gap between the real world and the virtual world – spatially and cognitively. Integrate the real world and the virtual world and presents information on mobile devices that directly corresponds to the physical environment.Item Message & Massage (M&M)(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2023-10-03) Hashim, Norshahila; Ilyas, NorilsyahirahLibraries play a fundamental role in society. The resources and services they offer create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society. Kedah Public Library in collaboration with Kedah Blind Association has arranged the free space and facilities in the library for the blind with the project call Message & Massage. This project is giving the opportunity for the blind who had a skill on massage to generate income through massage session package giving to the public, library patrons and library staff. Providing the space to the community and ensuring that libraries are recognized and supported as critical community assets essential to become a valued partner. This monthly project started on December 2018 took place at Room for Special Need provided some books and magazine as a message of reading through out the session for the client who are waiting for their turn and also for the client who are having massage for refreshing their body and minds. The program give a message by promoting library programs, services, spaces and collections provided for the blind such as the braille books, audio books and other materials.
