Item Minutes of meeting: Resource Sharing during COVID-19 Committee, 22 January 2025(International Federation of Library Association and Institutions (IFLA), 2025-02-09) IFLA Resource Sharing during COVID-19 Committee; Medawar, KatiaThe monthly RSCVD meeting took place on January 16, 2025, led by Committee Chair Carmen Lomba. She opened the discussion by reflecting on ILDS 2024 and invited members to share their impressions and ideas. Silvana provided updates on the Talaria application, suggesting the need for librarian training on the final release, which is expected soon. Lapis Cohen extended an invitation to the RSCVD Committee to participate in the ALA meeting in June 2025 in Philadelphia to discuss the collaboration between SHARE and RSCVD. Katia updated the committee on possible themes being considered by DDRS for WLIC 2025. Discussions also took place regarding the session format, with options including a classical panel discussion, an International World Café, or a fishbowl format. Silvana proposed that RSCVD be represented at ALA as part of the DDRS open session and at the IFLA stand in the WLIC exhibits area. She also suggested developing marketing materials, including brochures and a demo. The committee reviewed upcoming RSCVD activities across different regions: Lisbon (May 27-31, 2025) – Presentation under the theme "Partnership and Cooperation Networks on Open Access Projects." Hispano-American Libraries Webinar – To engage and expand RSCVD’s outreach. MENA Libraries Webinar (February 4, 2025, at QNL) – Conducted in Arabic to support regional library communities. Sri Lankan Library Association & Bangladeshi Librarians Webinar – Aimed at further expanding RSCVD’s outreach efforts. To date, 267 libraries have joined RSCVD. The meeting concluded with a discussion on RSCVD’s sustainability, particularly the need to explore funding opportunities and sponsorships from foundations to ensure long-term success.Item Minutes of Meeting: Resource Sharing during COVID-19 Committee, 12 March 2025(International Federation of Library Association and Institutions (IFLA), 2025-03-21) IFLA Resource Sharing during COVID-19 CommitteeThe Resource Sharing Collaborative and Volunteering Document Delivery (RSCVD) steering committee held its monthly meeting on the 12th of March, 2025 and discussed the latest successful upgrades on Talaria software with publishing 2 short videos tutorials on the RSCVD website. The updates went smooth. The next phase will focus on the statistics implementation and emails notifications. Silvana notified the committee that they are exploring the Arabic interface due to the high demand from libraries in the MENA region. The next RSCVD demo will be held on the 13th of March for the Bodleian Library, organized by Peter Bae, Carmen Lomba and Katia Medawar. Giovanna will organize a demo on the latest updates to the Italian partners. Carmen reminded the committee about the coming RSCVD nominations in April 2025. The final selection of nominees will take place in August 2025. Katia confirmed that the DDRS proposal at the WLIC2025 is accepted and will follow up with Tuba about securing a booth for RSCVD. The IFLA elections were also discussed , where 15 vacant positions were available for DDRS and 16 candidates. Peter Bae is running for the IFLA Governing Board. Carmen provided an update on compiling the case studies for conversion into a formal paper which will be added to both the Baku repository and the IFLA repository. Ibrahim suggested to publish the paper and case studies in the journal Information Discovery & Delivery before adding them to the repositories.Item Minutes of Meeting: Resource Sharing during COVID-19 Committee, 13 November 2024(International Federation of Library Association and Institutions (IFLA), 2025-01-19) IFLA Resource Sharing during COVID-19 Committee; Medawar, KatiaThe Resource Sharing Collaborative and Voluntary Document Delivery (RSCVD) Steering Committee met and updated about the latest action between the group and the Toolkit as part of the collaboration and sustainability for both groups. The Toolkit has added a new column allowing RSCVD libraries to register and join the platform. It was decided to send an announcement via the RSCVD Listserv to inform member libraries about the opportunity to register with the Toolkit. The ILDS Conference happening soon 2-4 Dec., the Committee discussed in details the RSCVD session that will take place on December 4th from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.Item Minutes of Meeting: Resource Sharing during COVID-19 Committee, 19 February 2025(International Federation of Library Association and Institutions (IFLA), 2025-03-21) IFLA Resource Sharing during COVID-19 CommitteeThe monthly RSCVD Steering Committee meeting took place on the 19th of February 2025 and discussed the recent updates of Talaria software, with the coming webinars to take place in Lisbon in May. The WLIC2025 planning committee is working on presenting a proposal where RSCVD will play a role between presenting RSCVD and providing demos in a booth during the congress. And, on the 4th of February, Katia and Ibrahim hosted a RSCVD session for the MENA region in Arabic and organized by the IFLA MENA RO at Qatar National Library. The webinar was successful with 74 participants . The feedback showed that participants learned about RSCVD and are willing to use it in the future. The coming webinars will be in Lisbon in May, in Genova in October, in Marsh for the Bodleian Library, and planning another one for the SiriLanka Library Association and Bangladeshi Librarians. The committee members agreed for the need to write a policy and tips on what can or cannot be requested through RSCVD to minimize confusion as same requests are going to RSCVD and NILDE. The last item was discussing the ILDS2024 papers to be published along to the 4 case studies done from Lebanon, Qatar, India and Turkey.
