(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2023-11-10) Kaul, Sangeeta; Yadav, Deepak
The Poster provides enriching insights about the pioneering and pathbreaking work of DELNET-Developing Library Network, a resource sharing Library Network in India connecting about 8100 Institutions across the country. It is operational for past more than 30 years. It is a not-for-profit organisation which is working relentlessly with a missionary zeal to promote information accessibility and affordability among the Indian Libraries and its Users. Through the Poster, the presenters have highlighted the splendid contributions of DELNET in fulfilling SDGs 3,4, 9, 10, 16 and 17 by strengthening and building connections among the vast network of its member libraries in India. The poster highlights the various information & knowledge resources and services offered by DELNET. A survey was conducted among the member institutions to ascertain the role of DELNET in fulfilling the SDGs through its library networking activities. DELNET provides access to more than 40 million records physically available in member institutions besides a huge repository of other resources. DELNET is offering the Interlibrary Loan services which are most popular among the Indian Libraries. The DELNET services are accessible 24/7 to its member institutions and the membership charges are highly nominal which remains unchanged for past more than 20 years.
