    "Reading Beibu Gulf" Library Study Tours
    (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2023-11-14) Li, Yang; Li, Si
    " Reading Beibu Gulf " is a series of cross-regional study tours jointly carried out by the member libraries of " Library Service Alliance of Beibu Gulf Ecnomic Zone ", which located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.The program is mainly aimed at the primary and middle school students' readers in the Beibu Gulf Ecnomic Zone, with the purpose of cultivating reading habits, broadening their horizons and expanding their knowledge. At present, they have held two study tours, respectively to the Confucius Temple Museum, Beibu Gulf University and Nixing Ceramics Factory. Under the guidance of the librarian, children read Chinese classics, learn calligraphy and traditional etiquette, and practice making traditional Chinese handicrafts during the study tour . In future, libraries in this alliance will continue to hold the " Reading Beibu Gulf " study tours, so that more readers could participate in it, to sharing of library resources, and comprehensively improving the service level and efficiency of public libraries in this region.
