Noah's Ark-Support children in vulnerable situations with equal opportunities
(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2023-10-07) Zhang, Weidong; Chen, Xipeng; Liu, Chenxi; Peng, Tianyi
After the global epidemic, an entire generation of children has now had their education interrupted. Marginalized children pay the heaviest price as inequalities in learning widen, affecting sustainable developments for the future. That's why Noah's Ark has come out to support children in vulnerable situations with equal opportunities. As a brand campaign specially announced by Jilin Provincial Library, Noah's Ark supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds with special care. "Insisting on providing equal cultural services for special children" is one of the service concepts of Noah's Ark. Being an essential window for public cultural services, Jilin Provincial Library has always regarded serving special groups as one of its top priorities. It provides comprehensive cultural services ranging from kids' reading room construction and exhibitions to high-quality lectures and province-wide competitions. Our goal is to eliminate inequalities in educational resources and increase the empowerment of disadvantaged children so that they can integrate into society and obtain equal opportunities for development. Our mission is to call on people all over the world to pay attention to vulnerable groups of children and make a small contribution to their healthy and equal development.
