Item Creating and Expanding the Global Library Publishing Map(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2022-12-16) Liu, Guoying; Liu, ShuLibrary publishing activities are growing worldwide. In 2018, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Library Publishing Special Interest Group (LibPub SIG) was established aiming to create a global library publishing community. Through partnership with Library Publishing Coalition (LPC), LibPub SIG initiated the Global Library Publishing Map project in 2019. The poster will illustrate the background and the creation of the Map, and its opportunities and challenges. We apply the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSR) to the library context, focusing on the first core function as an example. Best practices for securing library websites are showcased, considering their role as crucial access points for users. The roles and responsibilities of library IT professionals in implementing cybersecurity measures are discussed, emphasizing the significance of their expertise in safeguarding library systems and data.
