    The IFLA Health and Biosciences Section hosted the webinar on 15 November 2022 - “Informing #AMillionDecisions: taking the heavy lifting out of applying evidence to healthcare in the National Health Service in England”. Leads for NHS knowledge and library services in England share how librarians take the heavy lifting out of access to evidence in healthcare and how the librarianship workforce is developing to meet the evidence needs of healthcare and improve access to reliable health information. The session includes evidence for shared decisions between clinicians and members of the public, including health literacy techniques that can be applied in different sectors.

    HBS webinar - Preparing an Information Workforce to Address Health Misinformation

    IFLA Health and Biosciences Section (HBS) hosted a webinar “Preparing an Information Workforce to Address Health Misinformation” as part of the HBS 2022 Infodemic Management Webinar Series. The main goal of the webinar was to explore strategies for preparing an information workforce to address health misinformation. Through the perspectives of several faculty members, a range of student-focused educational strategies are explored to help build a workforce uniquely prepared to combat the proliferation of health misinformation. Panelists share examples of health misinformation, ideas for student assignments, various tools for fact-checking, and other useful resources.
