    Together for a better life
(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2022-11-22) Stanciu, Loredana
Librarians of the Prahova County were part of a consortium of 12 libraries (11 of which were rural) carefully analyzed reports of the citizens' involvement in the life of the community and decided in 2020 to apply for an Erasmus+ project. The main purpose of the project was to find solutions to meet the educational needs of adults and seniors, while also coming up with new activites for them to take part in concerning health and lifestyle. "Together for a better life", is meant to improve the knowledge and abilities of 14 librarians and one volunteer, over a period of two years, in order to become key-elements in their communities, and fulfill Objective 3 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – good health and well-being. By the end of the project, there had been a total of 19 dissemination workshops, 23 mobilities in 4 countries, and 25 new activities have been organised. Four new services have been implemented, that over 871 people got to take advantage of. In the end, the conclusion we have reached is that, in order to keep up with the rapid pace society tends to develop in, life-long learning has a very important role.
