The University of Wisconsin-Madison undergraduate library, College Library, has transformed spaces throughout the library using partnerships to fund remodeling and to redesign areas that now accommodate a variety of campus services supporting student success. This poster demonstrates several different ways that using library space enables a holistic approach to support students. Attendees will learn about partnerships that bring together media-supported classrooms, software training, equipment check-out, design consultations, and help desk assistance that all support students in creating digital media projects for courses and professional development. College Library also has a partnership with the Center for the First-Year Experience to host the summer orientation and advising program, leveraging the quiet summer months of library use with the busy activity of getting 7000 new students enrolled in classes. Holding programs in library spaces helps introduce students to an important resource for their academic work and can potentially solve space needs for orientation programs. In addition to providing space for writing and tutoring services throughout the academic year, the library also hosts an academic resource fair each fall semester. These examples will illustrate types of opportunities to bring together campus partners with a shared goal of supporting student academic needs.en_US
