Get rewarded up to RM10 million for doing CSR? Yes! It's legit. That's what really happened to Pahang Public Library Corporation (PPAP). Pahang State Government already announced the increase of RM3.4 million in allocation for 2022 compared to 2021 budget due to the success of carrying out our responsibilities and services through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. PPAP have done CSR for many reasons, but the priority is to help the societies. We shared our experiences with others and want to help more. We believed this program help us to engaged and connect with community. Among the programs implemented are the Flood Relief Mission, Books for Community, Fun Learning at aboriginal village and the rebranding of rural libraries in the state of Pahang. Flood Relief Missions also carried out task such as cleaning the houses of flood victims, donating food, books and necessities. As a result, we helped more than 20 families and 7 other libraries. This mission brings much happiness, joys and hope to the flood victims. Through a project called “Books for Community”, we are setting up mini libraries and reading corner equipped with books. Through this initiative we bridge the gap between library and community involving, remote schools, orphanage, retirement homes and mosque. Create fun learning program at aboriginal village to get closer to native children’s. In this program, we focus on two schools at Pekan and Jerantut district in Pahang. The rural library rebranding program includes painting work, layout arrangement as well as improving ICT facilities. All these program and activities represent our big heart to bring happiness to communities.en_US
