dc.description.abstractLibraries play a fundamental role in society. The resources and services they offer create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society. Kedah Public Library in collaboration with Kedah Blind Association has arranged the free space and facilities in the library for the blind with the project call Message & Massage. This project is giving the opportunity for the blind who had a skill on massage to generate income through massage session package giving to the public, library patrons and library staff. Providing the space to the community and ensuring that libraries are recognized and supported as critical community assets essential to become a valued partner. This monthly project started on December 2018 took place at Room for Special Need provided some books and magazine as a message of reading through out the session for the client who are waiting for their turn and also for the client who are having massage for refreshing their body and minds. The program give a message by promoting library programs, services, spaces and collections provided for the blind such as the braille books, audio books and other materials.en_US
