As one of the best-ranked universities in Taiwan, Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT) has been an open campus since the beginning, and its Poding Memorial Library is free for everyone in campus and community to use. With a collection of more than one million books, the CYUT Library actively organizes book fairs on various themes and is committed to promoting excellent books. The library even offers frequent book tours to community colleges, high school libraries, and public libraries, making it a highly popular service. In addition, the library has spearheaded the development of the Cross-University Application Management System for the Central Taiwan University Library Consortium. This innovative system enables faculty and students from member universities to borrow books seamlessly from each university library, benefiting thousands of users and enhancing resource sharing between libraries. In particular, CYTU has a diverse community of over 1,000 foreign students, mainly from Indonesia and Vietnam. In order to promote multiculturalism, the university library has partnered with the Taichung Public Library in a mobile library service project. This initiative brings Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Chinese books to CYUT, where users can conveniently read and check them out through the bookmobile. During the International Cultural Festival, each participant in this service will receive some traditional snacks from Indonesia, Vietnam or Taiwan. In line with IFLA's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this poster presents how CYUT is dedicated to University Social Responsibility (USR) and the United Nations' SDGs of No Poverty, Quality Education, Reducing Inequalities, Partnerships for the goals, etc. It shows that libraries could play an important role in the sustainable development practices of universities.en_US
