| dc.description.abstract | The German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) is developing a web-based platform for audiovisual media. The forthcoming audiovisual portal optimises access to scientific videos such as computer animations, lecture and conference recordings. TIB's AV- Portal offers new methods for searching within videos enabled by automated video analysis with scene, speech, text and image recognition. Search results are connected to new knowledge by linking the data semantically. This paper aims at describing the TIB´s portal for audiovisual media and the multimedia retrieval technologies as well as the added value for libraries and their users. | en |

El futuro portal audiovisual mejora el acceso a los vídeos científicos, tales como animaciones por ordenador y grabaciones de conferencias y congresos. El Portal Audiovisual de la TIB (AV-Portal) ofrece nuevos métodos para hacer búsquedas en los vídeos gracias a un análisis automático del vídeo con reconocimiento de escena, habla, texto e imagen. Los resultados de la búsqueda se conectan con nueva información a través del enlace semántico de datos. Este artículo se propone describir el portal de la TIB para medios audiovisuales y las tecnologías de recuperación multimedia así como el valor añadido para bibliotecas y sus usuarios. | es |
