La Agenda 2030 y las bibliotecas peruanas

Abstract

El presente trabajo presenta los resultados de 20 experiencias de bibliotecas peruanas que están apoyando al logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) aprobados por las Naciones Unidas el 2015. Los resultados muestran las actividades registradas hasta el 15 de mayo de 2017.

En el estudio se analizan las siguientes variables de las instituciones participantes: tipo de institución, alcance de la experiencia, fechas de intervención, lugar de ejecución, descripción de la experiencia, objetivos a lograr, beneficiarios, otras instituciones participantes en el programa.

Los resultados demuestran que la mayoría de bibliotecas ofrecen servicios relacionados a proveer educación de calidad en apoyo del ODS 4, con 13 menciones, seguido del ODS 16, que busca una vida en sociedades pacíficas y defensa de los derechos humanos y el acceso público a la información.

Aunque el número de respuestas no es significativo, se concluye que las experiencias registradas muestran que las bibliotecas peruanas están aportando efectivamente al logro de los ODS y que la Agenda 2030 es la hoja de ruta a seguir para el desarrollo del país con el apoyo de los servicios bibliotecarios.

This paper presents the results of 20 experiences of Peruvian libraries working for the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) approved in 2015. The results show the activities registered until May 15, 2017.

The study analyzes the following variables for the participating institutions: type of institution, scope of the experience, dates of intervention, place of execution, description of the experience, objectives to achieve, beneficiaries, and institutions participating in the program, among others.

The results show that most libraries offer services that support SDG 4: quality education to all, which obtains 13 mentions, followed by SDG 16, which seeks peaceful societies and advocates for human rights and public access to information.

Although the number of responses is not significant, we can conclude that the experiences recorded show that Peruvian libraries are effectively contributing to the achievement of SDGs and the Agenda 2030 is the road map for the development of the country with the support of library services.
