Abstract
En el Plan de Trabajo de la IFLA LAC 2016-2017, el foco se dirigió a el proyecto “Mapeo de las iniciativas de bibliotecas latinoamericanas y caribeñas en apoyo al plan nacional de desarrollo - agenda 2030", probado por el Comité Profesional de la IFLA con la tarea de: (1) Diseminar la Agenda 2030 y contribuir a aumentar el conocimiento y la práctica sobre los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible en bibliotecas de la región de LAC, inclusive ampliar la cooperación regional entre los profesionales de la información; (2) Identificar y registrar iniciativas y buenas prácticas que las bibliotecas de la región LAC están desarrollando y, por lo tanto, contribuir al cumplimiento de los objetivos y a la satisfacción de las necesidades locales de desarrollo; (3). Promover la visibilidad internacional de las bibliotecas de América Latina y el Caribe proporcionando ejemplos de buenas prácticas desarrolladas para el alcance de los objetivos (ODS) y de la satisfacción de las necesidades locales. Para registrar las iniciativas identificadas, la IFLA puso a disposición una plataforma online “Ejemplos de cómo las bibliotecas contribuyen a la ONU-2030-Agenda”. Con apoyo de las asociaciones nacionales de bibliotecários, colégios de bibliotecólogos e bibliotecas nacionais, fueran identificados 258 iniciativas de 21 países. In the 2016-2017 IFLA LAC Work Plan, the focus was directed to the project “Mapping of Latin American and Caribbean library initiatives in support of the national development plan - 2030 agenda”, approved by the IFLA Professional Committee with the task of: (1) Disseminating the 2030 Agenda and contributing to increase knowledge and practice on the Sustainable Development Goals in libraries in the LAC region, including expanding regional cooperation among information professionals; (2) Identify and register initiatives and good practices that the libraries of the LAC region are developing and, therefore, contribute to the fulfilment of the objectives and the satisfaction of local development needs; (3) Promote the international visibility of the libraries of Latin America and the Caribbean providing examples of good practices developed for the achievement of the objectives (SDGs) and the satisfaction of local needs. To register the initiatives identified, IFLA made available an online platform “Examples of how libraries contribute to the UN-2030-Agenda”. With the support of national associations of librarians, colleges of librarians and/or national libraries, 258 initiatives from 21 countries were identified. Of these, 115 were effectively validated corresponding to 13 countries.
