This paper explores ways for lifelong learning organization and library to form partnership, promoting the education of LIS (library and information studies) students and improving stu-dents’ competence in LIS through an active learning period at work. This paper outlines roles for the librarian mentors of LIS students internships of vocational education. We emphasize the co-operation of both lifelong learning organizations and libraries, and describe the roles and tasks of the course coordinator and the library mentor. The role of the education manager and Librarian's role as mentor are important. The paper also reports about the evaluation done by the students during their studies.en
