dc.description.abstractThis paper includes a general overview of MOOCs in countries in the process of development or transition. Examples of webinars, which have become the online alternative to MOOCs developed by and for library professionals, are shared. Benefits such as participating of MOOCs anywhere at any time, and challenges such as connectivity are discussed. As well as research which is an important part of the process to identify topics for the classes. How to develop MOOCs and best practices are considered with the purpose of providing resources to establish successful projects involving multi-ethnic populations.en
dc.description.abstractEste artículo incluye una descripción general de los MOOCs en países en proceso de desarrollo o transición. Se comparten ejemplos de webinars desarrollados por y para profesionales de la información. Estos se han convertido en alternativas en línea para los MOOCs. Beneficios tales como participar en los MOOCs desde cualquier lugar y a cualquier hora, y retos como la conectividad son discutidos. Así también se presenta la investigación. La cual es una parte importante del proceso para identificar tópicos para las clases. Cómo desarrollar MOOCs y mejores prácticas para ello son consideradas con elo propósito de proveer recursos para establecer proyectos exitosos involucrando poblaciones multiétnicas.es
