| dc.description.abstract | Indian economy is based on agriculture and country’s 68% population is dependent on agriculture. There are more than 170 agricultural universities and ICAR institutes involved in education, research and extension of agricultural sciences in India. Agricultural extension information is vital for the development of farmers in India. Information literacy campaign can play a significant role for transforming agricultural research and technology to Indian farmers. ICT applications in Indian agricultural extension activities and agricultural libraries are discussed in this paper. A model is also proposed by the authors for a “web-based Information Literacy Campaign for transforming agricultural research and technology to the Indian farmers” using Moodle.
