Item Ambassadors for Sustainable Development – Making Green Libraries Visible(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2022-09-26) Hauke, PetraAgainst the background of IFLA's involvement in the 2030 Agenda, this paper asks about the visible commitment of libraries and library associations as ambassadors for the dissemination of the SDGs. On the other hand, it also examines to what extent this commitment – if any – is reflected in national sustainability strategies and in strategies for education for sustainable development. The result makes clear that there is still room for development on the part of the library associations, but the libraries themselves must clearly communicate their commitment so that the public and political stakeholders are aware of it.Item Environmentally Inspiring and Engaging Buildings, Research, Education and Library Services(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), 2021-05-06) France, Fenella G; Vitiello, Giuseppe; Ma, Leo F.H.; Mirza, Muhammad Sajid; Pinto, Leonor Gaspar; Ochoa, Paula; Kutner, Laurie; Harrington, Elaine; Hough, John; Männikkö, Minna; Sahavirta, Harri; Hauke, Petra; Byrd, Vivienne; Pun, PriscillaIFLA Environment, Sustainability and Libraries (ENSULIB) and Preservation & Conservation (P&C) Sections joint webinar on 6 May 2021. The poster that ENSULIB is presenting at WLIC 2023 is titled "How to Tell Us Your Green Library Story". It also includes suggestions for the types of sustainability initiatives that libraries may choose to include as examples when adapting the poster for their context. The poster additionally incorporates several completed posters from around the world to illustrate how diverse libraries have used the template.
