This issue of the IFLA Journal presents global insights into library planning, preservation, accessibility, and modernization. Topics range from Denmark's library infrastructure to China's management of ancient collections. Articles explore advances in mass deacidification, easy-to-read materials for literacy, and international collaboration between libraries. The Singaporean experience in future-proofing libraries and national IT strategies is also featured, offering a vision of digital integration. Together, these contributions illustrate how libraries worldwide are adapting to technological, cultural, and educational demands while preserving heritage and enhancing access for diverse populations.
