| dc.description.abstract | The last Management of Library Associations Section (MLAS) Standing Committee Meeting for the year 2024 was held on 25 November, 2024 via zoom. The meeting was chaired by Loida and was well attended by 17 MLAS Standing Committee Members, NPSIG and WILSIG Conveners; and Helen Mandl, IFLA Deputy Secretary General. Among the matters discussed include the following: MLAS Mid-Term Meeting 2025 in Berlin, Germany; Updates from New Professionals SIG and Women, Information and Libraries SIG; IFLA Budget 2025; stepping down of IFLA GB Treasurer; IFLA President's Priorities; IFLA centenary 2027; IFLA Strategy 2024-2029; IFLA Elections 2025 and Pre-Nomination System; IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) 2025, Astana, Kazakhstan; Update on Code of Conduct for Volunteers; MLAS Priorities 2023-2025; MLAS Action Plan 2023-2024; Updates on Advocacy Impact Evaluation Working Group, Building Strong Library Associations Initiative, MLAS Communications Working Group; MLAS Webinar in collaboration with IFLA European Regional Division; IFLA Building Strong Library Associations (BLSA) Project and MLAS SC Happy New Year Video. | |
