dc.description.abstractMinutes of the 89th IFLA Governing Board meeting held on 27 September 2022 via teleconference. The Board approved minutes from previous meetings, addressed representation changes for legal compliance, and reviewed motions from the General Assembly, including the development of a whistleblower policy and protocols for conflict response. Key decisions included monthly updates to the Plan for Securing IFLA’s Future, initiating elections for a new Professional Council Chair, and declining legal action regarding an unauthorized recording. The Board endorsed the 2023 Business Travel Policy, approved IT support agreements, and adjusted WLIC 2023 conference rates. Reports were noted on SIGL partnership, staff updates, and the Knowledge Rights 21 Programme. Maja Žumer was appointed as an expert advisor to the Advisory Committee on Standards. An executive session followed.
