dc.description.abstractThis issue of the IFLA Journal features international research and discussion on the changing nature of information services and the role of libraries in the knowledge society. Topics include knowledge management in organizations, ethical issues in information dissemination, and the evolving competencies required of library professionals. Case studies from Thailand, Turkey, and the UK explore user needs, access equity, and the impact of technology on library services. The issue also includes updates from IFLA’s activities and working groups, emphasizing the global collaboration and policy development necessary to meet the challenges of the information age.
