To better meet people’s need for advanced technology and new products, the library brought together a large number of various technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and academician keen to promote popular science. Nearly 100 diversified activities are held there every year. The project is committed to promoting and disseminating new technology by means of displaying and sharing experience of new technology among ordinary users, with the help from technical professionals and senior “makers” , often related to Intelligent Robots, LEGO Toys, UAV, 3D Printing, Creative Handmade, Creative Woodworking, etc. What makes the maker space special is that it not only promotes innovation of library users through the interactive activities but realizes the role change from library users to organizers of the events, as well as enriches library resources by collecting creative works from “makers” through crowd funding.en
