This poster highlights an Open Parliament initiative aimed at strengthening legislative data governance to improve public access, transparency, and citizen engagement. The project focuses on developing an interactive user interface that enables users to easily access, download, and visualize key parliamentary data, including bills, debates, committee reports, and voting records. By transforming complex legislative information into accessible and user-friendly formats, the initiative enhances public understanding and participation in parliamentary processes. Central to this effort is the establishment of a comprehensive data governance framework. This includes the development and implementation of a Data Governance Policy and a Data Sharing Policy, which provide clear guidelines on data quality, standardization, security, accessibility, and responsible use. These policies ensure consistency in data management practices across departments while promoting openness and accountability. The initiative also contributes to institutional modernization by integrating digital solutions that streamline data management, improve data integrity, and support evidence-based decision-making. Overall, the project demonstrates how robust data governance, combined with digital innovation, can strengthen democratic institutions and align parliamentary systems with global standards for transparency and open governance.
