Abstract
IFLAPARL 2024 Annual Conference (Madrid, 17-18 October), Day Two, Third session.
The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea has seen a sharp rise in proposed legislations, partly because bills proposed by its members do not undergo legislative impact analysis (LIA). To improve legislative quality, the National Assembly Research Service (NARS) established the Scientific Legislative Analysis Support Center in 2024, aiming to enhance policy-making through expert-driven analysis. The presentation focuses on the work of the Center in order to promote “scientific legislation” by advising, supporting, and educating on quantitative analysis methodology (slides presentation).
