Abstract

In the context of accelerating digital transformation, libraries are increasingly recognized as key institutions in fostering reliable, inclusive, and critically engaged information ecosystems. This poster presents a practice-based initiative implemented at the National Aviation Academy Library, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) tools into information literacy instruction to strengthen students critical thinking and digital competencies. Aligned with the theme “Libraries Powering Transformation,” the project demonstrates how the National Aviation Academy Library can address emerging challenges such as misinformation, algorithmic bias, and the growing role of generative AI in knowledge production. Through structured workshops and interactive training sessions, participants are introduced to AI technologies while developing skills in evaluating information credibility, understanding data ethics, and navigating complex digital environments. The initiative emphasizes engagement with students and underrepresented user groups, promoting equitable access to digital knowledge and skills within the National Aviation Academy Library. Preliminary findings indicate increased user confidence in assessing online information and greater awareness of ethical issues related to AI.
