Multimedia presentation of library heritage - 50th anniversary of the First Rock Guitar Festival in Belgrade

Abstract

National library of Serbia (NLS) marked 50th anniversary of the First Rock Guitar Music Festival in Belgrade in June 2016. Photos taken during the festival belonging to art photographer Branibor Debeljkovic legacy, texts and advertising material from daily newspapers and weekly magazines were collected from the NLS heritage. In addition to poster presentation, the whole collection could be seen in electronic version on tablets. The media coverage of the whole event was excellent. This exhibition gathered the festival participants and their peer funs who actively took part in the opening of the exhibition and following public debate on the celebrated festival. In addition to NLS promotion in the public, this event activated elderly generation and it also offered educational contents to young generations who were not familiar with the roots of the rock and roll in Belgrade.
