(2) analyze the priority of renovation of library buildings based on their characteristics, (3) establish a role commensurate with the size and status of each library, (4) finally, suggest the remodeling direction of operating system that reflects characteristics of Korean public library. The methods for data collection include a survey with 489 public library users and 50 non-users, focus interviews with 14 carefully selected librarians from experienced working-level librarians, and direct observations on the buildings and facilities in Korean public libraries.en
