To understand the point of users’ views, connect services with them and their context and identify new insights from the team, Design Thinking (DT) could be one of the most innovative and suitable solutions. DT is defined as the framework and tools for solving ill-defined, “wicked” and unclear problems. DT focuses on people and diversity, and means taking risks in the innovation. The poster will show how different Spanish libraries and Librarian Associations have been applying the DT approach to create new services or projects and solve problems or difficulties. Concretely: • Identifying segments of library users and understanding their needs. • Working and iterating in digital projects such as repositories, websites or OPACs. • Improving the design of services and the participation of the team. • Recognizing strengths and weakness in LIS plans in faculties. The examples will illustrate DT stages and different strategies. Furthermore, the poster will propose a toolkit and guidelines for implementing DT culture at any Library or Archive.en
