Abstract

After month of lockdown, public library need to come up with unconventional activities in order attract user back. Neon Art is a visual sensory activity with aim to promote the library to young readers through the wonders of science. The activities involve fluorescent paint with UV light produce a bright and vibrant art. Anything drawn using fluorescent paint on the supplied black card will lit up under the UV light. This allows children to express their artistic creativities in a fun way. Neon Art will also benefit children with autism and other pervasive developmental disorder as enhanced visual ques allows them to learn more quickly. Inspiring public libraries to engage even more community members. Neon Art are conducted with stringent safety protocols with face shields and gloves. In this challenging and uncertain times, innovative approach is needed to let the public know that the library is alive and well.
