This issue of the IFLA Journal explores critical developments in library and information science, with a focus on education, user needs, and digital transformation. Articles examine information-seeking behavior in Nigeria, distance education in the Baltic region, and digital library initiatives in Finland and New Zealand. Topics also include disaster planning, user-focused website design, and electronic information services in academic libraries. Contributors highlight global efforts to enhance library services through technology, training, and strategic planning. The issue reflects the profession’s commitment to adapting practices and policies to meet the changing demands of users in an increasingly digital and globalized environment.
