The International Network of Emerging Library Innovators – Middle East and North Africa (INELI-MENA) is one of a kind and unique e-training program in the region that aims to cultivate and develop future Arab public library leaders and build a strong professional network to advocate for all libraries; enhance the standards and services of public libraries across the region and ensure that all librarians are ready to support the SDGs INELI‐MENA is based on the highly successful International Network of Emerging Library Innovators (INELI), a project of Global Libraries initiative (GL) of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) that provides emerging library leaders with opportunities to connect with each other to explore new ideas, to experiment with new services, and to learn from one another. The Arab Federation for Libraries & Information (AFLI) adapted Global Libraries' program (INELI) in Arabic language through creating online learning modules (i.e. building successful teamwork; innovation; using data; risk & conflict management; change management; Advocacy and libraries and development) that will enhance public librarians’ competencies and build regional e-learning network to improve their leadership skills. As an outstanding outcome of the program participants will form action project teams to develop a service and /or program of benefit to their libraries to consolidate their learning and support the implementation of the SDGs in their countries through these projects. It is expected that the library leaders will work to build a strong partnership with governmental and nongovernmental organizations; cultural institutions....Etc. to support their communities and to ensure that information on the SDGs and the skills to use this information are available to everyone.en
