& Picture Books: A support program for emerging picture book authors

Abstract

Initiated in 2024, the National Library for Children and Young Adults(Republic of Korea) is running a new program to support Korean picture book authors and to promote reading culture.

NLCY uses the rich and vast library resources to support the creation of picture books and aim to naturally expose children and young adults to the process, thereby increasing their interest in reading.
