Minutes of BIBS business meeting held on August 17, in Astana, during WLIC 2025. The meeting centered on confirming the continuation of the Bibliography Section and on reviewing Division H updates. Key achievements included the release of the revised 2025 Universal Bibliographic Control Statement, progress in working groups on accessibility, AI applications, and national bibliographies, and the success of the Virtual Event Series. Communications remain strong across multiple platforms, though the Metadata Newsletter needs revitalization. The Astana 2025 conference and satellite meeting highlighted AI’s impact on libraries, while planning for WLIC 2026 in Busan and the 2025–2027 Action Plan emphasized ongoing innovation and collaboration in bibliographic practices.
